Hawley Place Swimmers raise funds for the British Heart Foundation


On Saturday the Arena hosted the ‘Camberley Sponsored Swim’ for the British Heart Foundation. 17 people from Hawley Place School took part and swam a total of 756 lengths between them, pledging over £800!


There were 98 swimmers in total who swam and pledged close to £7750. So many of these swimmers came from Hawley Place and all of them completed their target with many swimming the full 50 lengths.

Medals were awarded to all by the Deputy Mayor Cllr John Winterton.

A total of 70 Miles was swum for the charity. That is equivalent to approximately £111 per mile! A very good effort by all!

Next year’s swim has been booked for 4th March 2017. More details to follow next academic year.
