Scholarship Information

What scholarships are available?

Scholarships are available for the following three areas:

  1. Academic
  2. The Arts (Music, Drama, Art)
  3. Sports

How are they awarded?

The Entrance Exam (Monday 8 January 2018) will primarily be a significant indicator for the award of an Academic Scholarship.  The examination is based upon three areas; Verbal Reasoning (VR), Maths and English.  Study guides such as those found in WH Smith provide ample opportunity to practise.

You may pass a portfolio of work/certificates etc. to the Admissions Officer if you so wish.

The Arts (Music) Scholarships If you wish to apply, a minimum standard, usually Grade 3 is required.

For Art, we would need to see a portfolio.

The Sports Scholarships.  If you wish to apply, please provide references from the relevant Sports Coaches in the first instance.

How do I apply?

The first step is to ensure your son/daughter’s name has been put forward for the Entrance Examination on Monday 8 January 2018.  This can be done by completing the below Entrance Examination/Scholarship Award form.  Further qualifying information from schools, parents and coaches may be given at any point leading up to the Entrance Exam/Scholarship day.  However, we would appreciate all information pertaining to a Scholarship application as soon as practicable in order to assist with the process.

When will I know of the outcome?

After the exams have been taken on 8 January, we will inform you of our decision within two weeks.  You will have until Thursday 1 March to reply to any offer that we make.  Failure to do so may result in your place and/or scholarship being offered to another candidate.

Are there any other opportunities available?

The school offers reductions in fees for siblings and those serving in the Armed Forces.

Do I need to do anything now?

You should ensure that your son/daughter’s name has been entered for the Entrance Examination on Monday 8 January 2018 and scholarships, if applicable, by returning the below form.
